So Cal in Flames
Well, SoCal is going up in smoke like the tinderbox it is. We're in the middle of a drought and people are still planting lawns.
Fortunately, as the flames lick their way down the freeways and into housing divisions, the loss of life has been, mercifully, limited. Not so, sadly, property damage. As of tonight, most schools are closed (I may be forced to do... housework), major freeways above SD and near the border are closing. Thankfully, none of my friends are in serious danger, although some have been evacuated. All the ash makes breathing a chore...
